Role Description
The College Tennis Activator role is a new role created and funded by the Tennis Foundation (TF), the leading tennis charity in Britain and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), the national governing body for tennis in Britain. This is fantastic opportunity for a student to receive on the job training in developing recreational programmes both in an education and community setting.
The successful candidate will be employed by The Sheffield College and work closely with the local Regional Tennis Participation Manager for the LTA to co-ordinate and deliver Tennis activities both within the college and the community.
Experience and Responsibilities:
Display excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to liaise and communicate with people at all levels
Working successfully as part of a team whilst also being comfortable to operate on their own initiative and make independent decisions
Essential
Be able to undertake other activities as directed by your line manager Essential Provide monitoring to assess the progress of the programme on a regular basis Essential Use social media and marketing outlets which are relevant to a student audience Desirable Developing, delivering and evaluating small projects in an education, community or sports setting Desirable
Knowledge, Training & Qualifications:
Academic Level 3 or equivalent Essential Background in sports leadership, delivery in tennis or another sport Desirable
The successful applicant will be expected to attend a national training day on Tuesday 7th November at Loughborough University (travel expenses will be covered by the TF)
